It freezes for up to 3 months in an air tight container. Let it cool to room temperature first. Defrost it in the fridge overnight and stir before using.
Ingredients:
- strawberries – 1/2 cup
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/2 cup sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a sauce pan on medium, add strawberries, wine and sugar.
- Reduce. As with any reduction, the longer you cook it, the thicker and more syrupy it gets.
- Allow Sauce to Cool – The strawberry sauce needs to cool to room temperature before spooning it over your cheesecake or other dessert.
- Look for bright berries, they do not ripen after being picked.
